The Shorty's Magic Grip Tape is standard griptape and is abrasive. The buyer didn't have any more tech than this.

My personal preference is Shorty's Black Magic grip tape, because it does not rip, keeps the grit, does not tear up shoes, and looks nice on the board.

The Mob griptape and the Shorty's griptape are comparable and both are good brands of griptape. It would be personal preference as to which brand you like better.
