The Stefan Jankoski Mids are similar to the lows. They do provide better ankle support so jumping down things doesn't hurt as much. All in all if you liked the low then you'll love the mid. However, if you did not like the low, you still may want to give the mid a try.

I don't know if you've tried the Bender shoes by Globe (a Jake Duncombe signature model), but the janoski mids can be compared to that. Same basic concept of a boat shoe styled shoe but in a mid-top design. I personally liked the janoski lows, but to be honest, if you didn't like the low ones, then chances are that you won't like these. They feel the same as before, and the elevated profile of the shoe (what makes it mid) won't make much of a support difference since it is something that is rather thin. But bear one thing in mind, my foot does feel more locked in place with this new mid top design than with the low ones because there are more lace holes. I hope I answered your question.
