There are actually two levels of hardness for the Ricta All Star Pro Wheels. The inner wheel is a little softer at 78D than the outside of the wheel at 82B. This is done to improve grip. Softer the wheel, usually the better the grip.
A 'Flat Spot' will develop on wheels if the wheel is prevented from spinning and grinds across the ground, thus wearing the wheel down in one spot which will create a 'Flat Spot'. Keep those wheels spinning to avoid this. Prevention is much cheaper than replacement.
