The upper on the men's Fallen Slash shoe does seem thicker, especially the tongue, and the toecap to me is still a narrow design. The outsole has thick enough construction for good durability & impact protection but still offers a decent board feel.

We haven't had many returns on the men's Fallen Slash shoe, so it appears as if the warehouse shipment was alright. When we start seeing a rise in returns for a product, we will investigate to be sure the product isn't defective. This doesn't seem to be the case with this shoe. The 'popping' noise may actually stop after a break-in period, but I can't say for sure and it's difficult to return a used shoe at the warehouse. All I can recommend is exchanging the shoe for another to see if you have the same issue. Is so, then you may want to switch to a totally different shoe if the noise is too bothersome.

Both the Fallen Men's Slash and Supra Men's Amigo, run true to size. I'd recommend ordering the Slash in size 10.0.

I looked at the Fallen Men's Slash shoes with black stitching and don't believe they change to rainbow colors through use. Sku # 11-04066 does have rainbow colors as pictured.

We received the men's Fallen Slash shoe in the Double Rainbow colorway near mid-October, 2011. The men's Fallen Slash shoe in the Rainbow II colorway was received around mid-November, 2011; so it appears that the 'Double Rainbow' style is the older design of the two.

The style you speak of for the Fallen Slash shoe is the Double Rainbow colorway, which is sku #11-05077.

The side (outsole) of the Mens Fallen Slash, has a Rubber with herringbone tread pattern. Not canvas.

The only real difference between the men's Fallen Slash shoe in colorway Black/Rainbow II Suede & Black/Rainbow Suede is the stitching colors. Otherwise the two shoes are made identical.

The men's Fallen Slash shoe in the Black/Green colorway are just that, Black & Green and have nothing to do with the Rainbow Suede style.
