Wood, most likely pine. The Santa Cruz Landshark Complete has 7 ply construction made of wood layers using a clear, Spray-On Grip.

The Santa Cruz Landshark Complete is a wide, long board suitable for 'cruising' the streets, but not very good at helping with tricks. Beginners may like this set up though to get the hang of riding in general. But if you do plan on doing tricks after a short time, you may want a smaller deck. The Santa Cruz Landshark Complete weighs 5lbs & 12oz.

The Santa Cruz Landshark Complete and all other cruisers and longboards will give the feel of surfing. They're all better for carving, than a regular skateboard.

The wheels on the Santa Cruz Landshark Rasta Complete are a 78A durometer, which is a softer wheel that is good for cruising around, even on rougher surfaces.

All the "Complete" decks, such as the Santa Cruz Landshark Rasta Complete, are shipped assembled and you do not have to indicate anything when ordering.
