Technically, a 49mm-51mm wheel, such as the Plan B Pro Spec Wheels, will work on an 8" deck. But it isn't very practical. Try to figure out what type of skating you would do most...street skating (ledges, curbs, handrails,stairs, etc) or transitional skating (skate parks, ramps, 1/2 pipes, pools, etc). Street skaters prefer narrower boards, 7.25"-8", & narrow trucks with smaller wheel diameters (56mm or smaller) while "tranny" skaters tend to like the wider decks, 8"-8.5", & wider trucks with larger wheel diameters (57mm + larger).
