Yes. A 7.75" is the next best size in a truck, such as the Independent Eric Koston Stage 10.5 Forged Hollow trucks, for an 8" deck. The best size would probably be an 8" truck for an 8" deck.

answer 1
Not really. The 159's will usually have a 8.75" axle width. With the Independent Eric Koston Stage 10.5 Forged Hollow trucks, it seems the 149's notation is used with both the 8.25" size and the 8.5" size. I have a shout out to the buyer to clarify this for me because at this point I am a little confused as well. But I will post another answer for you if needed. Otherwise, if the description is indeed wrong, look for the corrected copy to show online within a few days.

Independent brand trucks don't really have a mid truck...just highs and lows. But if you were to make a comparison to other trucks, then one could say the height of the Independent Eric Koston Stage 10.5 Forged Hollow truck is similar to a mid truck height.
