I really liked this shoe when it first started breaking in. It was comfy, had great boardfeel and wasn't ripping. But after a while it began to rip in the toe from kickflips. Then it got worse and worse until I could fit 3 fingers through the hole in the front. But don't get me wrong skating these shoes was amazing. One downfall to the shoe is the poor ankle support.. If u have weak ankles that can sprain easy be weary of this shoe. I sprained my ankle 2 times in this shoe. Therefore I wouldn't recommend to skaters with weak ankles. The laces surprisingly take a long time to rip. Overall, I liked this shoe. It was one of the best ive skated. But.. it will rip if you do lots of kickflips and flicktricks. If you have previously sprained your ankle and are thinking about skating this shoe then be careful because it doesn't have much support
Pros: breaks in easy, good board feel, stylish, durable, comfortable, good grip, good cushioning, laces don't break
With 26 years of skating experience, Eric Koston channeled extensive riding knowledge into the making of his first signature Nike shoe. The Nike Koston shoe takes a very basic design and loads it with latest technology for superior performance and durability. Uppers constructed of leather/suede, nubuck or mesh for durability and beathable comfort. Stitchless lining construction coupled with TPU reinforced suede prevent ripping and toe blowouts from continuous skating. Lunarlon sockliner adds protection from heel bruising, yet it’s thin enough for excellent board feel. Breathable mesh tongue prevents sweaty feet during extended riding sessions. Circular herringbone tread pattern and flexible cupsole offer insane levels of grip, flexibility, and board control. Additionally, a neoprene collar provides long-lasting comfort.

I have been skating the Koston 1 for about a month and a half now and it's great! They look fresh and skate well. I like how the swoosh does not rip because it's not stitched in. Another thing I liked about this shoe is the lunarlon. It gives good cushioning when jumping down stairs. It doesnt rip much because of the one piece to cap. It has some marks on the toe because i do lots of kickflips but it hasnt ripped through. I do heelflips sometimes too and this shoe is not very good for heelflipppers. The sock liner rips in a few days of doing heelflips. I went through the laces pretty quickly on these too. Overall i recommend this shoe to anyone (except maybe kids who like to heelflip alot) p
Pros: good board feel, cool colors, stylish, doesn't rip, durable, good cushioning, comfortable, good grip
